Easy CBD Mocha Latte at home
To make a CBD Mocha Latte, you’ll need coffee, milk, cocoa mix, and CBD oil. However, keep in mind that CBD oil doesn’t blend into water, it binds to fats. If you just add drops to your coffee it will just float on top and not mix well. So Instead, you’ll want to blend it in with milk or cream. Because of this, 1%, 2%, whole milk, coconut milk or almond milk creamer work well, but avoid skim milk because it has very little fat.
Use at least a half cup of milk for every cup of coffee, and start with a low dose of CBD oil, until you find what amount works best for you.
CBD Mocha Latte recipe:
- 1 cup brewed coffee
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 2 tbsp of your favorite hot chocolate mix
- 1 dose of CBD oil (natural or unflavored)
Pour the coffee into a small saucepan and heat over low. Stir in your hot chocolate mix until dissolved, and then add in the milk and CBD oil. Whisk until frothy, pour into your mug, and enjoy. And if you prefer, you can always add nutmeg, cinnamon or your favorite topping!
How much CBD should I put in my coffee?
This depends entirely on you own personal preferences. Everyone responds differently to CBD, so it may take a bit of experimentation to find the best dosage.
10-15mg is good start for a calming cup of coffee. Perfect for a lazy weekend brew.
5-10mg is a dose for most weekday mornings. This is because consuming CBD in small doses has been found to be a great compliment to coffee.
